ATTENTION ⚠️
In observance of the holiday, Juneteenth, Agilent CrossLab/iLab Operations Software Support Help Desk will be closed during U.S. hours on Thursday, June 19th, 2025. We will resume regular U.S. support hours on Friday, June 20th, 2025. EU and APAC Support will remain open during this time. For urgent matters, please add "Urgent" to the ticket/email subject or press "1" when prompted to escalate a call on the iLab Support phone, and we will prioritize those requests first.
The Elemental Analysis Core (EAC) is a member of the OHSU University Shared Resource program. The mission of the EAC is to assist researchers with quantification of elemental content in biological specimen. Core staff will process and determine the concentrations of the desired elements in these samples and help with interpretation of the data.
The EAC is centrally located on the 5th floor of the Medical Research Building where it occupies approximately 750 sq feet of lab space. The EAC is equipped with an Agilent 8900 triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (ICP-QQQ) and an Agilent SPS 4 autosampler. The ICP-MS is interfaced with a computer for data analysis and a fume hood to process material in preparation for ICP-MS. In addition to sample analysis, the EAC offers sample preparation of solids (digestion) as well as solution samples.
