The OHSU Gene Profiling/RNA and DNA Services Shared Resource (GPSR/DSC), formerly the Gene Microarray Shared Resource and DNA Service Core, functions as a full-service RNA and DNA preparation and analysis facility providing research scientists and clinicians with services for RNA expression profiling and DNA variation analysis using microarrays and qPCR, RNA and DNA isolation and quality assessment, cell line authentication, and access to oligo synthesis services. Technologies available through the core include two microarray platforms, Affymetrix/Applied Biosystems and Illumina, a Life Technologies QuantStudio high throughput qPCR system, two Agilent Bioanalyzers and a 4200 Tapestation, two QIAcube sample processing robots, a high-throughput QIAsymphony sample processing robot, and an Eppendorf liquid handling robot. The QuantStudio Flex Real-Time PCR System and Qiacube sample processing robots are located in the Integrated Genomics Shared Access Laboratory and are available for direct use by trained researchers.
We are available for education on our technology platforms and services, and can provide consultation for project development and on use of core resources.
The GPSR works closely with the Massively Parallel Sequencing Shared Resource and can assist researchers with RNA and DNA isolation and quality assessment for samples that will be used for sequencing library preparation and sequencing in the MPSSR.
