Gene Profiling/RNA and DNA Services Shared Resource

RNA Nano Chip or RNA Pico Chip

With our No QA or Analysis service option, researchers will quantify and dilute their own gDNA and submit their samples ready to be analyzed. Genomic DNA will undergo cycle sequencing and fragment analysis on our state-of-the-art Applied Biosystems 3730xl DNA Analyzer, and raw data (allele table and electropherogram images) from the CLA assay will be compiled and sent to the investigators for their own analysis. STR database comparison and report generation will not be completed with this mode of service. Please submit at least 20 ng/uL of your gDNA in at least 5uL final volume, diluted with water if necessary.

Training for single-cell cDNA preparation using 10x Genomics Chromium platform. Training includes instruction on cell or nuclei counting and cDNA preparation workflow in Chromium platform in IGL.  Fee includes Chromium Controller Training kit and hands-on instruction by GPSR staff.

UV quantification and Bioanalyzer assay for 2 samples.  There is an additional fee for the Bioanalyzer chip that is used.

DNA isolation or other processing using Qiagen spin-columns or other appropriate extraction method supported in the core.  Service includes all extraction costs, UV quantification, and Bioanalyzer or Tapestation sizing.

Lab labor fee includes staff time, miscellaneous reagents and supplies, and maintenance costs on broadly used lab equipment.

Comprehensive training for use of Nanostring SPRINT system; required for shared access use of Nanostring instrument and system set-up in GPSR.

One training fee can cover up to 2 people from the same lab. Both trainees must complete all parts to complete the training and obtain permission to use the Nanostring. A training can include up to 2 people from different labs, but there will be a training fee applied for each person.

QIAcube uses advanced technology to process QIAGEN spin columns, enabling seamless integration of automated, low-throughput sample prep into the laboratory workflow. No change of purification chemistry is required, assuring fast startup and immediate results. All steps in the purification procedure are fully automated — up to 12 samples can be processed per run. (Qiagen) 

 This equals one QuantStudio run.
